Monitor de gasto en IA en América Latina

The Clara AI Monitor uses anonymized transaction data from Clara corporate cards issued to active customers in Brazil, Mexico, and Colombia. The dataset begins in January 2024 and is updated monthly. Only closed months are included; the current month is excluded because it is still in progress. All transaction amounts are converted to U.S. dollars before analysis. No customer-identifiable information is published.

AI transactions are identified through merchant-name matching against a curated taxonomy of AI tools and vendors. The taxonomy is reviewed monthly and updated as new tools emerge or previously unmapped vendors are identified. Google and Microsoft are excluded when transaction records cannot reliably distinguish AI products from their other services.

The share of active Clara customers that paid at least one recognized AI vendor during a given month. An active customer is a company that made at least one transaction with a Clara corporate card in that same month.

Shows how total spending with recognized AI vendors changes over time without disclosing absolute amounts. Each month's total is divided by the highest monthly total observed in the displayed period. A value of 1.0 represents the peak. If a new peak is reached, the full index is recalculated — earlier values may change slightly while the relative trend remains the same.

Covers transactions made with Clara corporate cards by active customers in Brazil, Mexico, and Colombia from January 2024 onward. Results reflect activity observed within Clara's card platform and should not be interpreted as total market spending.

Does not include AI purchases paid through other cards, bank transfers, reimbursements, or invoice payments. Results may be affected by changes in Clara's customer base or card usage. Merchant-name matching may miss transactions when names are incomplete or unusual. The AI Adoption Rate measures payment activity, not product usage, user counts, or seats purchased.
