  • The new initiative is part of a talent attraction and retention plan in Argentina
  • Among the new local hires is Clara's new Chief of Staff, Matías Alberti

Buenos Aires, May 9, 2024 - Clara, the leading solution in Latin America for companies to make and manage all their payments, announces the inauguration of its newest office in Buenos Aires. This will be Clara's first office in a country where the company does not yet have operations and is part of the strategy to attract more employees in Argentina, in addition to retaining the talents that are already part of the company. Currently, more than 5% of the entire team is based in the country.

Among the local hires, the new Chief of Staff, Matías Alberti, stands out. Alberti has previously served as Chief Operating Officer and Country Manager at Buenbit, in addition to founding two other startups.

The expectation is that the country will be a place to hire other high-performance professionals in areas such as software engineering, marketing, and operations. The plan is based on the fact that Argentina has a highly skilled population (according to the World Bank, 79.56% of the local population had advanced education in 2022), with many of the skills needed to work in a rapidly growing startup.

The main objective of the office is to provide a place for the team to share experiences and intensely experience Clara's culture, which is based on values such as a willingness for constant change, inclusion, pride, among others.

"Currently, we already have several Argentinians working at Clara, and many of them stand out very positively in their areas of expertise, due to their results-oriented performance and open mindset to changes. We realized there was a great opportunity in this market regarding talent attraction," summarizes Gerry Giacomán Colyer, co-founder and CEO of Clara.

With operations in Brazil, Colombia, and Mexico, Clara has more than 10,000 clients, including large companies such as Mapfre, Smart Fit, Rappi, and Burger King, and is supported by major venture capital funds in Latin America and the world.
